Monitoring a replication environment

To help you monitor the environment, Replication Manager:

Controls data flow. You can suspend and resume RepAgent and DSI threads.
Switches a logical connection and monitors the warm standby environment. You can issue the switch active command in a warm standby environment, monitor the switching process, and report any errors.
Manages connections. You can configure Replication Server and database connections.
Tunes replication performance. Fine-tune server performance by modifying configuration parameters that affect servers and database connections.

You cannot read the Replication Server error log file through Replication Manager. See Troubleshooting for information about using Replication Manager to troubleshoot replication problems.
