Working with table subscriptions

You can create or alter table subscriptions through the interface.

StepsCreating table subscriptions

  1. In the left pane, double-click the table to expand its directory.

  2. Select the Subscriptions folder.

  3. In the right pane, double-click the Add Subscriptions icon. The Add Subscription dialog box opens, displaying by default the name of the primary connection and primary table, as well as the name of the replicate connection and table. See Add Table Subscriptions dialog box for more information.

  4. At the top of the dialog box, enter a name for the table subscription.

  5. Accept the default primary connection, or select another connection, if appropriate. If you select a new primary connection name, the replication definitions defined for that table appear in the Replication Definition list.

  6. Accept the default primary table, or select another table, if appropriate. If you select a new primary connection name, the tables on that connection appear in the Primary Table list.

  7. Accept the default replication definition, or select another definition, if appropriate.

  8. From the Materialization Method list, select a subscription method.

  9. Select Subscribe to Truncate Table to subscribe to the truncate table command.

  10. Select Set Auto Correction to subscribe to auto correction. See Add Table Subscriptions dialog box for more information.

  11. Click OK.

StepsAltering existing table subscriptions

  1. In the left pane of the object tree, select the table.

  2. Select the Subscriptions folder.

  3. In the right pane, right-click the subscription definition to display the context menu.

  4. Select Properties. The Subscription Properties dialog box opens, displaying the current settings for that subscription definition.

  5. Edit the information on the dialog box, following the same steps to create a subscription definition in the previous procedure.

  6. Click OK.
