Navigating the Sybase Central main window

Use the Sybase Central main window to access a replication environment and server objects. This section describes the Sybase Central main window and explains how to:

Move through the Sybase Central hierarchy.
Customize the display.
Use drag-and-drop shortcuts.

The main window is split into three panes. When you are connected to a replication environment:

The left pane displays a hierarchical list, or object tree, which shows:
- Icons for folders and objects in the replication environment.
- Icons for other plug-ins, such as the Sybase Central plug-in for Adaptive Server Enterprise, if they are installed.
The right pane displays the contents of the folder or object selected in the left pane.
The bottom pane displays the contents of the event log. To display or hide the event log, select View | Event Log

To modify the size of the panes, drag the splitter bar to the left or right with the mouse pointer.

You can change the main window to display a single pane, and hide the event log pane. See Customizing the display for detailed information.
