The toolbar functions include:
Drop-Down Hierarchy – displays the hierarchy of the currently selected object. This function allows you to move to a higher point in the hierarchy without scrolling.
Back – takes you back to the previous point that you visited in the hierarchy.
Forward – takes you forward to the next place you visited in the current hierarchy.
Up – moves the Sybase Central display one level up in the object hierarchy. For example, if the current focus is on a database, clicking UP moves the focus to the data server in which the database is located.
Connect – opens the New Connection dialog box so that you can connect to an RMS domain in a three-tier environment, or another replication environment in a two-tier environment.
Disconnect – opens the Disconnect dialog box so that you can select the RMS domain or a replication environment from which to disconnect.
Connection Profiles – opens the Connection Profiles dialog box so that you can create or edit user profiles for accessing a replication environment (two-tier) or replication domain (three-tier). Click Help to access Sybase Central online help for creating connection profiles.
Refresh Folder – refreshes the folder so content is up-to-date.
Delete – deletes selected objects.
Properties – opens the property sheet for a selected object.
To identify buttons in the toolbar, Sybase Central displays tooltips. A tooltip is a floating label that appears when the cursor rests over a toolbar button. To display a tooltip, place the cursor over a toolbar button, but do not click the button.
