Upgrade routes

To support mixed-version environments, Replication Server assigns a version number to a route. The version represents the metadata version that has been distributed from the Primary Replication Server (PRS) to the Replicate Replication Server (RRS). When you upgrade a replication server in the environment, you might have to upgrade the route version so that the replication environment can leverage the new functionality. You must copy the data in the PRS RSSD to the RRS RSSD using re-materialization.

The route upgrade process provided by Replication Manager is available only in a two-tier environment.

Upgrading a route

Right-click the Replication Server in left pane and select Upgrade Routes.
Select a route and click Upgrade.

Route upgrade requires no changes to the Replication Server.
