DbxTune - Desktop Application

The native Desktop Application lets you inspect details of a recording.

Download the public version Download the local version from Dbx Central. This can be a newer/older version than the latest public release

Requirements to run the Native Application

• Java 11 or later installed on your local machine
• Windows, Mac or Linux (since it's Java it will run anywhere)

Installation instructions

• Download the ZIP package from above buttons/links
• unzip it somewhere
• Start: click xxxtune.bat (for Windows) or xxxtune.sh (for Mac or Linux)
  Note: Replace xxxtune with the DBMS flavor you want to view. (ase, iq, rs, rax, sqlserver, postgres, mysql, db2, oracle, hana)

Connect to a recording (shortcut) Note: Native app needs to be running

• In this web page 'nav bar' click 'Server', scroll down to 'Available offline databases'
• Note: To view active/todays recording, click 'Server', scroll to 'Active Recordings'
• Click the 'Url' field in the table. This will do: all of the steps in (the long way), which is described below

Connect to a recording (the long way)

• Press: 'Connect', which opens the connection dialog
• Choose Tab: 'Load Recorded Session'.
• Fill in: 'JDBC Driver', 'JDBC Url', 'Username' and 'Password'. Try: Username='sa', Password=''
• Press: 'OK', Which connect to the recording, and opens a dialog to choose a timespan to view
• Hopefully you are now connected, and you can start to view details...
• Tip: 'double click' in the graphs to position you in the timeline, then view data in each collector tab.
